I grew up going to the Maryland Renaissance Festival with my family and friends in the fall. It was a magical time and nurtured my love of the fantastical from a young age. This love was nurtured by my parents who have always supported my more creative endeavors.
I returned to the Faire in High School, this time with my friends in tow. Now it’s a yearly tradition, and recently we have added the Virginia Renaissance Faire to our summer routine. It’s always a time of merriment, and I love sharing this passion with others.
One of my favorite Faire traditions is the drive up, during which I get to play my special Renaissance Faire playlist to get everyone excited. Music plays a large part in both Ren Faire’s and my personal life. Music and sound are so immersive and hold magic in their own right.
I started Tunes From the Tavern my Freshman year of College to share my love of Fantasy and Music with anyone who wants to listen. I’m glad you’re here Traveler, let’s go on this journey together.
